We are now selling the Spanish multi-purpose chair "ACTIU WG Chair," which has won an internationally acclaimed design award.
ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Joto-ku, Osaka City, President: Yoshiro Hirai) will begin selling the "ACTIU WG Chair," a lightweight, colorful, multi-purpose chair manufactured by the Spanish company ACTIU, from March 2018.
The simple design, which fits in a variety of spaces, was created by combining modern technology with the motif of a traditional wooden chair, and has won internationally renowned design awards such as the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award. Made of resin, the hollow-molded structure makes it lightweight, making it easy to carry and stack. In addition, the three-dimensional curved back and seat shell shape fits the body, providing a comfortable seating experience.
ACTIU
A long-established Spanish furniture manufacturer founded in 1968. It targets a wide range of markets, from airport facilities to education, medical care, and interior construction. It is also actively involved in environmental activities, and its headquarters and production facility (ACTIU TECHNOLOGY PARK) have received platinum certification, the highest rating level, in the international LEED environmental performance evaluation system for buildings. In 2017, CEO and founder Vicent Berbegal was awarded European Entrepreneur of the Year at the European Business Awards (EBA) ceremony, and the company is rapidly increasing its presence in the market.
