Announcement of the 2017 new product launch event for the collaboration brand i+ between ITOKI and Interoffice
ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Joto-ku, Osaka City; President and CEO: Yoshiro Hirai) and interoffice Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hideyuki Ume) will exhibit and present the new collection of their collaboration brand, i+ (pronounced eye plus), at GOOD DESIGN Marunouchi from Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
i+ is a brand established in January 2016 by ITOKI, which has continued to provide new value to the field of office furniture with its original, cutting-edge product development capabilities for 126 years since its founding, and interoffice, which has been contributing to the comfort of office spaces in Japan by introducing excellent European office furniture since its founding in 1983, in agreement on the concept that customers desire a place to work where they can make full use of their space and experience a fulfilling environment.
The first collection (released in January 2016) was produced and designed by Naoki Terada (architect and head of design at Interoffice), and focused on interior accessories, which are essential elements in creating an ideal, sophisticated office space, and featured three items: a whiteboard, a telephone stand, and a coat stand.
The second new collection, to be announced on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, will be collaborated by Yoko Ando (textile designer) and Izumi Okayasu (lighting designer) in addition to Terada. The collection will feature products (tables, partitions, and lighting) that will create comfortable office spaces and inspire users with their own ideas for how to use them.
During the collection launch, we will hold an opening reception, guided tours, talk events and other events to provide visitors with an opportunity to learn new perspectives on the office furniture offered by i+ and information on current office spaces, allowing them to experience i+ in a variety of ways.
