GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2019
The results of the 2019 Good Design Awards were announced on Wednesday, October 2nd, with ITOKI CORPORATION and its group company Dalton Co., Ltd. receiving awards for a total of eight products. Among the award-winning products, Dalton's "savanna+" was also selected for the "GOOD DESIGN BEST 100."

We evaluated the various dissatisfaction we had with previous portable lecture tables in detail, and the improvements we made to usability from the user's perspective, including mechanical improvements. L-FORCE
One way to prevent a storage cabinet from falling over during an earthquake is to fix the top of the storage cabinet to the wall using an L-shaped bracket (hereinafter referred to as a wall fixing bracket), but this method cannot withstand the impact of a large-scale earthquake with a seismic intensity of 6 to 7. Otherwise, the wall fixing bracket may come off the wall and may not be able to provide sufficient protection against falls.
In response to such situations, the fall prevention unit "L-FORCE" uses unique technology (patent pending) to prevent earthquakes of magnitude 7 by simply being fixed and installed at the bottom of the wall of the storage room (no need to be fixed to the top of the wall or floor). i+ CONTAINER
``i+ CONTAINER'' is an item that neatly and beautifully stores items on your desk, such as A4 documents, laptops, and stationery. These personal containers were created to allow workers who do not have fixed seats, such as free addresses, to work more easily due to changes in work styles. Savanna+, the first research facility product to win the Good Design Award Top 100, was developed not just as a test bench but also to enable researchers to realize a new work style. In order to build an ideal open laboratory, we ensure "visibility" in the room, which is the most important factor, and encourage true face-to-face interaction between researchers. By organizing storage methods in a workshop format, we achieved an output with sufficient storage capacity.
By revitalizing communication between researchers, we aim to create an environment that further accelerates scientific and technological innovation.
