Compliance with Laws and Regulations

In order to prevent environmental pollution and conserve the environment, the Itoki Group not only complies with environmental laws and regulations, but also has stricter internal regulations, and each employee understands the background and intent of environmental laws and regulations and strives to put them into practice. I am trying to do so.

Prevention of air pollution, water pollution, and soil pollution

Prevention of air pollution, water pollution, and soil pollution

During the manufacturing process within our factories, we conduct regular measurements as required by law to prevent air, water, and soil pollution. In addition, in order to protect the natural environment around our production bases, we are working to reduce emissions of substances that have an impact on the environment, and are conducting monitoring based on stricter standards, including setting stricter voluntary regulatory values and increasing the frequency of measurements.
In the event of an emergency, in order to minimize the impact on the surrounding environment, we will review risk and hazard maps that visualize the location and storage amount of substances that affect the environment, such as chemicals, as appropriate, and We maintain a ready response system by conducting regular training in accordance with emergency response procedures.

Environmental accidents/legal violations/exceeding standard values

In fiscal 2022, there were no environmental accidents, legal violations, or nonconformity incidents such as exceeding standard values.

Handling nonconformities

When an environmental accident or legal violation occurs, the ITOKI Group creates a "Nonconformity Handling Sheet" in accordance with the provisions of the environmental management system. Through this, we take appropriate measures such as investigating and analyzing the details and causes of defects, considering and implementing corrections, and reviewing procedure manuals, as well as making continuous improvements.

environmental management system

ITOKI promotes environmental management based on top management commitment in order to practice environmental activities as a group. In addition, based on the "Itoki Group Environmental Policy," we have established an environmental management system organization (EMS organization) that includes 13 domestic group companies, with a director in charge as the company-wide environmental management officer, and all group employees We carry out environmental activities based on the environmental management cycle (PDCA) in which our employees have participated.
EMS activities are aimed at verifying compliance with ISO 14001 standard requirements and the appropriateness of maintenance and management status, as well as providing audit information to management and identifying opportunities for improvement. Once a year, we conduct a company-wide internal audit of each group company's performance level, management review implementation status, legal compliance status, etc. This helps maintain and improve environmental compliance and further reduce environmental risks.
In addition, in order to conduct effective audits, we will conduct training for new employees by external organizations and provide more specific level-up training by EMS internal auditors with the aim of ensuring the competence and improving the knowledge of internal auditors. We are implementing it.
Additionally, in order to ensure the objectivity of the results of our environmental conservation activities, we have introduced an examination and certification system by an external examination body. Based on the results of the examination by an external examination body, we promptly make corrections and improve the management system.
