ITOKI signs agreement with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam) regarding internship program to strengthen recruitment of highly skilled science and technology talent

The university's vice president, director of education, and director of student support visited Japan and inspected offices that could be potential locations for the internship. The university plans to accept 10 interns this summer.

ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) signed an agreement on an internship program with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam) on Wednesday, April 17th, in order to strengthen the recruitment of highly skilled science and engineering talent.
Two graduates from Hanoi University of Technology will join the company in 2023, and nine more will join the company after October 2024. The company plans to accept around 10 students from Hanoi University of Technology in an internship program this summer, which will help further strengthen recruitment going forward.

We are developing products to realize new office and work styles that correspond to the rapid diversification and digitalization of work styles, and acquiring highly specialized human resources, which is a prerequisite, is one of our most important issues. Therefore, in order to acquire highly specialized human resources in fields such as AI and mechanical engineering from overseas, we held a signing ceremony for a confirmation letter with Hanoi University of Science and Technology in December last year to conclude a partnership for friendly exchanges and highly skilled human resources.

The current contract stipulates that Hanoi University of Science and Technology will send students for an internship and that our company will accept them, and stipulates the recipients, period, etc. of the internship. The purpose of the internship is stipulated as "to have the students understand the close relationship between specialized knowledge at university and practical skills at the company by experiencing training at a company for a set period of time in parallel with their studies at university, and to have them experience Japanese culture and customs."

Since 2022, we have been participating in joint company information sessions and interview sessions held at Hanoi University of Technology to strengthen our recruitment of highly skilled overseas talent. Two graduates from Hanoi University of Technology will join the company in 2023, and we have also agreed to hire nine people to join the company after October 2024. We will accept about 10 people for this internship this summer, which will lead to further recruitment.

Furthermore, from this spring onwards, our company plans to expand into industry-government-academia collaboration with the Shiga Prefectural Government and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and this inspection and signing agreement will serve as a stepping stone to that end.
