Itoki begins offering ``OpenWorking,'' a cross-border experience platform that can be expanded by a circle of companies that share the idea of ``enjoying work.''
Design your own growth and develop "cross-border human resources" across companies for the era of 100-year lifespans
ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yoshiro Hirai) will begin offering its cross-border experience platform "OpenWorking" from April 2022, allowing workers to learn from each other across all "boundaries."

Service development background
ITOKI `` We Design Tomorrow. We Design WORK-Style.” is our mission statement, and we have been providing design support for various working environments and ways of working, including for companies. Nowadays, the environment surrounding WORK-Style has changed significantly, and it is said that we are living in an era of 100 years. There is an increasing need not only for companies but also for each workers to independently face and design their own WORK-Style. Masu.
Because ITOKI has supported the creation of working spaces and work styles, we want to increase the sense of job satisfaction within our workers. With this in mind, Itoki is full of people who truly enjoy working, with the idea that you can not only ``enjoy'' within the current framework, but also ``enjoy'' even more depending on your own feelings and ways of thinking. We are launching a new service aimed at society.
Service overview
At OpenWorking, companies that share the vision of ``enjoying work'' build a network and provide a six-month cross-border experience based on a place where diverse values intersect.

In OpenWorking, participating companies share parts of their offices and use digital tools to create connections between both real and virtual "places" and the "people" who work there. . This provides a foundation for individuals to face their own WORK-Style while receiving daily stimulation that goes beyond the boundaries of the company. Based on such connections between places and people, we will provide mechanisms that lead to ``cross-border experiences,'' where you can interact beyond the boundaries of your company or challenge yourself to go beyond your own fixed ideas. Specifically, we will design the experience over a six-month period through the following three phases.

1. “Onboarding phase” where you envision how you want to be while working
We ask each participant to draw a picture of what they would like to be while working. By coming into contact with the ways of thinking of executives from various companies and other participants who are seniors who enjoy working, students will gradually break free of rigid thinking frameworks and bring out their independence for their own growth. .
2. “Quest phase” where you can freely walk the path of growth toward your desired state
We will practice actions both inside and outside of OpenWorking based on each participant's ``desired image''. In OpenWorking, there is no instructor to teach anything, but instead we design a place where participants can learn from each other's strengths. Participants who want to test their skills can also take advantage of a system where they can work at another company's actual operations for a certain period of time and test their skills on the job.
3. “Bridging phase” to bridge your rediscovered strengths to the future
We will utilize what we have learned through OpenWorking to design our next goals in order to lead to further growth. By reconsidering what you want to be from the point where you have accumulated various challenges at OpenWorking, and incorporating it into concrete actions, we will support each person until they can move forward on their own.
Companies that want to provide this service
OpenWorking is a new service recommended for companies facing the following challenges.
- We want to increase the number of active employees and revitalize the organization into a culture of challenge.
- We want to support career autonomy and make each employee shine.
- We want to develop people who can discover problems from diverse perspectives through work styles that go beyond the boundaries of the company.
The goal of OpenWorking is not to "teach and be taught," but to be a place where we can "learn from each other." Companies with the desire to develop employees who can design their own growth, share the same sense of challenge, and sometimes experiment together with HR measures that they want to try, and companies and individuals work together. We aim to create a place where we can grow.
