Itoki Corporation (president: Kiyotaka Kaneko) has announced the release of its new simple security cabinet lock, Systema Secure Lock, in May.

Changes to the social climate in recent years have led to strong demands for increased security for companies and their facilities. These days, access control for cabinets containing personal information and other important documents is a serious topic for any corporate. Systema Secure Lock uses IC card (FeliCa card) technology for user verification. Key information stored on the card is forwarded to the memory key, which then unlocks the cover lock attached to the cabinet. All unlocking and locking activity for the cover lock is logged as well.

No reconfiguration or electric wiring is required-Systema Secure Locks need only be attached to regular cabinets to fit them with electronic locks. It is even possible to install Systema Secure Locks to cabinets already in use, providing low-cost secure cabinets, eliminating the burdensome need for administration of cabinet keys and allowing cabinet access logs to be collected. Systema Secure Locks can be used on more than just Itoki cabinets; they can be installed on cabinets of any brand.
