Card Entrance System/MC debuts

Itoki Corporation (president: Kiyotaka Kaneko) has announced the release of its new Card Entrance System/MC in April.

Card Entrance System Changes to the social climate in recent years have led to strong demands for increased security for companies and their facilities. Itoki focuses on the most basic and important area of security measures-access control-with its highly reliable and convenient Card Entrance System/MC, as an ideal entrance security control system.

The recent propagation of uses for non-contact IC cards has led to the appearance of a diverse range of IC cards such as FeliCa, MIFARE, eLWISE and ISO 15693. The Itoki Card Entrance System/MC is compatible with all these non-contact IC cards, and combines the card reader, authentication device and electronic lock control circuits within a single, compact unit just 29 mm thick ( completely embedded type ). The Card Entrance System/MC allows for registration of up to 5,000 users and a log of up to a million uses. Using a local area network, the Card Entrance System/MC connects with the Itoki Access Control System (IACS), thus allowing for connection with other systems such as secure furniture, security gates and finger vein authentication devices, and administration of up to 800 gates. The system supports stand-alone configurations, as well as in-room anti-passback functions and double authentication systems.

Scheduled release: April 2006
